For Veteran's Day this year, we had the wonderful opportunity to sing a song by local composer, Kurt Orning!  Kurt wrote, "My Name is America" on September 11th after the twin towers tragedy in New York City.  The song answers the questions, "What would the statue of liberty say about the events of September 11th?".  Kurt visited all of the K-5 music classrooms to talk about how he wrote the song and performed a couple of his original pieces, including "Uffda"!  Here is the video of our Veterans Day program!  The kids were so proud to sing for all of our National Heros.  Thank you, Veterans!
